Sisters Anthea and Wendy Turner on the same page once more as they enjoy a Hello! magazine photoshoot and discuss their new book, The King's Coronation and the Kohinoor Diamond!

It’s been nearly 30 years since TV presenters Anthea and Wendy last worked together. In the 80s, they brought out a series of children’s books based on the busy mice communities living below London’s bustling tube stations called Underneath the Underground which proved hugely popular with young readers.

Now the sisters have put their heads together once more to write a brand new set of Underneath the Underground adventures, starting with The King’s Coronation and the Kohinoor Diamond, published by Splendid Publications. And we just know that a whole new generation of readers will be just as enthralled this time round!

The whole world was caught up in the Coronation of King Charles III in May 2023 with millions watching the spectacle on television. But no one knew the REAL story of what happened that special day…until now! The King’s Coronation and the Kohinoor Diamond begins two weeks before the crowning of the king when the Asian Mice living underneath Hounslow Tube Station plan a spectacular celebratory ball, only to discover that their prized glitter ball fails to sparkle!

Panic ensues until one of the mice comes up with a daring plan - to take back the famous Kohinoor diamond from one of the crown jewels and return it to the Indian community where it belongs. The question is, will King Charles and Queen Camilla notice…?
